  • 75Ω S/PDIF Digital (RCA/BNC)
  • AES/EBU Digital (XLR)

  • Speaker (regular and bi-wire)
  • Custom adapter cables, e.g. RCA to XLR.

General Questions

Q: Why choose Furutech connectors for Audio Sensibility cables?

A: Furutech is the market leader for supplying audio grade connectors.

The premier cable brands/models in the world such as Nordhost Supreme Reference (Odin) and Reference (Valhalla)  use Furutech connectors simply because they are the best available, regardless of cost.

Q: Why choose Furutech internal wire for Audio Sensibility cables?

A: Furutech uses only the highest quality materials in its internal wire, such as Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper and utilizes the most advanced design and manufacturing processes available.

See the whitepaper ‘Demystifying Cable Performance’ for complete details on why Furutech internal wire is superior to other available brands.

Q: What is the benefit of having Audio Sensibility do the cable termination versus DIY?

A: There are a number of benefits:

  • We have many years of experience assembling cables using Furutech connectors. We know all the tricks and have all the tools to quickly and optimally do the cable assembly.
  • Meticulous cable pre-treatment using CAIG DeoxIT Gold anti oxidation treatment and Furutech  Nano Liquid contact enhancer.
  • Professional soldering using Weller temperature-controlled soldering stations and audio-grade (Cardas, WBT, Mundorf) solder.
  • Use of special materials for EMI/RFI noise attenuation and vibration damping/control.
  • Burn-in of the finished cables using an audiodharma 2.5 Pro CABLE COOKER and a final demagnetization step using a Furutech DeMag demagnetizer unit, to ensure great cable performance out of the box.
  • Equipment cost savings. There is no need to purchase start up equipment and supplies.
  • Significant time savings. We work closely with our Furutech and other distributors, and in many cases can get components not currently in stock on the same day as the customer order.

Cable Cooking

Many of our customers have asked  for cryogenic treatment of their existing cables, so we now provide this as a separate service.

The Cable Cooking Service is only available to customers who live in the Greater Toronto Area who can arrange personal drop-off and pickup of their cables.

The cost of this service depends primarily on the number of cables to be burned in, however an up-charge for cables with specialized connectors that we do not already have adapters built for.

We use the audiodharma 2.5 Pro CABLE COOKER, which is the industry standard from both a performance and installed base/popularity perspective.

A number of critical reviews of the audiodharma 2.5 Pro CABLE COOKER are provided below:

Cryogenic Treatment Services

Audio Sensibility sends regular shipments of cable materials for cryogenic treatment. Because of our large volume of business, we typically have enough material to run dedicated batches, so we don't need to share space in the unit with dirty industrial parts. In addition, we personally deliver the shipment to/from the cryogenic treatment facility.

Many of our customers have asked  for cryogenic treatment of their existing cables and other audio components, so we now provide this as a separate service.

The Cryogenic Treatment Service is only available to customers who live in the Greater Toronto Area who can arrange personal drop-off and pickup of their cables.

.The cost of this service depends primarily on weight of materials to be treated, however an up-charge for bulky items which take a lot of volume is possible.

Weight Charge Per Pound
<= 1 $25.00
<= 4 $15.00
<= 20 $12.00
> 20 $10.00

General Questions

Q: What is your schedule for cryogenic treatment?

A: There is no fixed schedule, however we have been averaging a shipment every 1-2 months. We will send out an alert e-mail to customers who have signed up on our cryogenic treatment mailing list generally 3-5 business days in advance of shipment.

Q: How do I get added to the mailing list?

A: Simply send us an e-mail using this link. We have a better chance of reaching you if you provide a contact phone number as well.

Q: How do I get the materials to you?

A: You will need to deliver/pickup your materials personally. We do not accept shipped cables. For this reason, we only accept customers who live in the Greater Toronto Area. We are located in the Yonge & Sheppard area of Toronto.

Q: What materials will you treat?

AA: We are able to treat most cables and metal parts. Excluded are cables with exotic designs including liquids used for damping. When in doubt feel free to contact us..

Q: Can you treat CDs/DVDs?

A: We are able to treat CDs and DVDs that have been removed from their jewel cases. The jewel cases add unnecessary volume and the brittle plastic is ucceptible to cracking. We suggest packing the disks on a blank CD spindle container. We also suggest spacing the disks apart with o-rings to provide maximum benefit.

Q: Can you treat entire equipment components and circuit boards?

A: We will not treat these items.

Q: How should I pack the materials?

AA: Pack the materials in plastic bags of a reasonable size, e.g. up to 3 power cables in a bag. Avoid very bulky packaging, since this gives us little flexibility when packing everyone's materials in the treatment unit.

Q: Should I get my Audio Sensibility cables treated.

A: No. All materials in Audio Sensibility cables have already been cryogenically treated.

Q: I have some other questions.

AA: Feel free to contact us about any other questions that you may have.
